The TP-Link Archer C7 is a Wi-Fi 5 dual-band router. While we do think you should upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 if you can, and TP-Link has a great Wi-Fi 6 router, too, you may not need that much from your router. Plus, you may not want to pay that much. Right now the Archer C7 is down to a measly $49.99 at Best Buy. You can even find it at that price at a couple other retailers like Target and Staples. This is a $30 price drop from the router's regular price, and one of the best prices we've ever seen on it.
Not everyone out there is going to have affordable access to Gigabit Ethernet. If you're paying for something that's like 200 Mbps or less, you don't need Wi-Fi 6 because you won't be able to take advantage of those speeds anyway. Go with Wi-Fi 5 instead because not only is your internet probably a lot less expensive, but you can also save with awesome router deals like this. The Archer C7 is so easy to use and does a heckuva lot for how much it costs.
You'll get data transfer speeds up to 1,750 Mbps. That includes a 2.4GHz band with 450 Mbps speeds and a 5GHz connection with 1300Mbps speeds. The back of the router has four Ethernet ports so you can connect the old fashioned way, which is really recommended for computers and gaming consoles and things like that that put the biggest burden on your network.
You'll also get a ton of great features including an SPI firewall, VPN pass-through, and IP address filtering. These security features can help keep your private information private. You won't have to worry about unauthorized eyes getting a look at your stuff.
The Archer C7 also makes it as easy as possible to set up. It has a wizard that guides you step-by-step, and it's also compatible with an app you can use on your smartphone for more control.
