1.5 million people received free trials of the Affinity during the pandemic

Over 1.5 million people received free trials of Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher over the pandemic.

What you need to know

  • Serif gave out over 1.5 free trials of its Affinity software over the course of the global pandemic.
  • The campaign that gives away free trials ends this month.
  • The entire suite of Affinity apps is 50% off until the end of this month.

To help people jump into its creative apps during the global pandemic, Serif, the makers of Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher, gave away free 90-day trials of its software. That offer concludes at the end of this month but appears to have been a success. Serif shared that since the giveaway started, over 1.5 million received free trials of Affinity software.

Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher are professional applications for creators. One of the main selling points of the suite of apps is that none of the apps require a subscription. In my Affinity Photo review, I explain that the app can replace Adobe Photoshop for most people for a lot less money. Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher deliver similar value in comparison to Adobe's Illustrator Illustrator and InDesign, respectively.

The option to get a free trial of the apps ends this month, as does the 50% off sale that's ran for quite some time. You still have about two weeks to grab any piece of software from the Affinity suite for 50% off, including products on Windows 10, iOS, and macOS.

Affinity Photo

This graphic design program allows you to edit vector and raster designs and doesn't require a subscription.

Affinity Publisher

This publication app can link with Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, so you don't have to jump between apps.
