Based on recent rumors, the next Battlefield title looks set to deliver a fresh experience, contrasting entries like Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V set during past world wars. The new title will reportedly feature modern-day weapons and gadgets, coupled with upcoming technologies like drones and military robots, best compared to themes seen in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. However, with significant technological advancements teased by Electronic Arts, hopes are high after a three-year hiatus for the Battlefield series.
While the June 9 reveal will provide our first look at Battlefield 6, we're expecting a more extensive gameplay showcase next month at the publisher's own EA Play Live event. The game is expected to launch later this year, both on the latest Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, but also Xbox One and PlayStation 4, plus PC.
