Blasphemous is a sidescrolling Metroidvania-esque title developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17. On Friday, The Game Kitchen announced that Blasphemous is getting a free update called Wounds of Eventide. This update adds new locations for players to wander through, with new monstrous bosses to overcome as well.

In addition to this free update, The Game Kitchen is working on a sequel to Blasphemous, with the team noting it's in early production.
"We're so excited to finally announce that we've started work on a Blasphemous sequel, the community have shown so much love for the first game and we can't wait to share more when we can," said The Game Kitchen in a press release. "New beginnings also mean new endings, and Wounds of Eventide is exactly that, it's the final instalment for the original Blasphemous and we hope people love playing the new content as much as we loved creating it."
Platforms have not been announced for the sequel but given how early development is, it'll presumably be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5. There's also no official title but given the giant "II" at the end of the teaser, it certainly seems like Blasphemous II could be the title.
