Seven new HP X Series gaming monitors have been unveiled

That's a lot of monitors.

What you need to know

  • HP has announced seven new X Series gaming monitors.
  • Four sport flat screens, three are curved.
  • The HP X27 and HP X27q are available to purchase right now, with the other five models coming soon.

HP has seven new X Series gaming monitors ready to knock consumers' socks off, and all of them are going to be under $500. That's not the only thing the seven screens have in common: They'll all be capable of 165Hz refresh rates and 1ms response times, support AMD FreeSync Premium, feature HP Eye Ease with EyeSafe Certification so no gamers strain their peepers too much, and even have stand adjustability for your tilting and height-changing pleasure.

And the good news doesn't end there. All seven of these monitors are sustainably made, featuring "80% post-consumer recycled materials and recyclable packaging." Now your gaming doesn't have to come at the cost of the planet. On top of high refresh rates and speedy response times, that's one attractive and ecologically sustainable package. Could this septet of screens rank among the best gaming monitors?

You can purchase and enjoy two of the monitors right now. The HP X27 (FHD, 1920 x 1080) and HP X27q (QHD, 2560 x 1440) are available for just $229 and $309 respectively, thanks to a current discount. Regularly, they're $259 and $339.

As for the others: The X32 (QHD, 2560 x 1440) will be $389 and hit shelves later in August, and the X34 (WQHD, 3440 x 1440) will be $459, available in September. The $259 X27c (FHD, 1920 x 1080), $349 X27qc (QHD, 2560 x 1440), and $309 X32c (FHD, 1920 x 1080) will all arrive in October 2021. Each model name corresponds to its screen size in inches, as measured diagonally.
