When it comes to gaming mice for your Windows PC, few companies have as high a profile as Razer. While the company is known for making some of the most expensive and craziest gaming hardware around, it also has some very affordable options for those on a budget (but still want crazy performance).
For Amazon Prime Day, Razer has four exceptional mice, all well below $45, meeting everyone's expectations.
Starting with the best performance is the Basilisk V2. It's a wired-only option, but that's OK as it also delivers a whopping 20,000 DPI – one of the highest dots-per-inch sensitivity ratings of any gaming mouse in 2021. The Basilisk V2 also has 11 programmable buttons, which is more than enough for the hardcore gamer, and it weighs just 92 grams making it exceptionally light and nimble.
The Basilisk V2 Wired usually is $80 but is now less than half that at just $38, making it a steal.
Razer Basilisk V2 Wired
If you prefer wired and want the highest 20,000 DPI for one of the fastest gaming mice available today, the Basilisk V2 Wired is your choice. Chroma RGB, 11 programmable buttons, and a light 92-gram ergonomic design, the Basilisk V2 is top tier.
If you prefer a similar design to the Basilisk with its "thumb wing" design but prefer wireless, the Basilisk X HyperSpeed is your choice. It drops DPI down to a still crazy high 16,000 (more than enough for a big 4K display), and you get just eight programmable buttons, but it has both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connections for high-speed wireless performance. Battery life also tops at 450 hours, and in a pinch, you can use it wired too.
Typically, you'd pay $60 for this wireless mouse, but it's now just $35.
Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed Wireless
This mouse features Hyperspeed Wireless technology for a fast connection and up to 16,000 DPI. It can switch between 2.4GHz or Bluetooth connections and can reach 450 hours of battery life.
If you're really into Razer Chroma – the famed RGB lighting found on Razer products – the Mamba Elite Wired is the king. It has an astounding 20 lighting zones, which is about 16 more than your average gaming mouse. But the Mamba Elite earns its name too with up to 16,000 DPI from its 5G sensor and still delivers nine programmable buttons with durable mechanical switches.
All that lighting is not cheap as the Mamba Elite usually is $90, but today's deal brings it down to a much more affordable $43.
Razer Mamba Elite Wired
Razer's Mamba Elite is one of its most Chroma-fied high-performance gaming mice in its lineup with 20 lighting zones. With a 5G 16,000 DPI sensor and ergonomic design, this wired mouse is perfect for everyday use for work or gaming.
Finally, if you want the fundamentals there is the DeathAdder Essential cannot be beaten. It has a 6,400 DPI optical sensor making it ideal for laptop usage, is wired, and features five programmable buttons through Razer Synapse (Razer's free software kit). You still get mechanical switches, rubber side grips, and excellent built quality with a 2-year warranty.
The DeathAdder Essential is regularly $50 but can now be had for just $20, making it a great backup or travel mouse if you already have something better.
