Should you buy a new Xbox controller on Prime Day? Here are your options.

What are your Xbox controller options for Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is upon is, giving us a huge array of sexy deals for Xbox and gaming in general. Our round ups for the best Prime Day gaming headset deals can be found here, and our best Xbox Prime Day deals can be found here. If you're interested specifically in controllers, though, I have a few options for you.

What Xbox controller Prime Day deals are there?

The best deal would've been the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, alas, it's not on sale. The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller costs a whopping $220 to buy outright, but for that you get a highly configurable controller, along with the best battery life and charging dock on the market.

There are a few options for a small saving, though. The standard Xbox Series X|S controller has a decent 18% saving, which extends to some of its other color variants. You can grab that controller in white, black, red, or blue, and it's compatible with original Xbox One series consoles as well as the new X|S consoles. It also has Bluetooth for phone compatibility, and can be used via 2.4gHz wireless by pairing it up with a Xbox Wireless PC dongle.

If you want something a little more shiny and interesting, potentially ideal for kids, the PowerA Spectra is one of the only controllers on sale right now, with $8 off the asking price. This is a standard wired Xbox controller compatible with all Xbox consoles Xbox One and up, but it comes with a range of color LED strips within the product, giving it an attractive shiny accent.

If you're hunting for something for Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming on the go, the Android USB-C gamepad GameSir X2 is enjoying a sizeable discount, and it's compatible with practically every USB-C based Android phone on the market. Using this controller, you can play Xbox Game Pass games on your smartphone, as long as you have Game Pass UItimate and a decent internet connection. The similar Razer Kishi is also on sale, and while it doesn't have the same range of compatibility as the GameSir, it's arguablyu more ergonomic for those with a compatible device.
